Mulcaster Mews Retirement Residence is located in the heart of downtown Barrie nestled among a park setting in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Only four blocks from the Heritage Water Front Park and Lake Simcoe. We offer the peace and serenity of a country estate but with the convenience of the city amenities. Mature trees surround the property with a quiet garden pergola for watching the small animals who like to visit the residents.

We are located in Barrie with just a 5 minute walk from downtown. As you walk down Mulcaster Street , you are mesmerized by the lakeshore drive where you enjoy the beauty of lake Simcoe and the atmosphere in downtown.
The Ravine belt behind Mulcaster is all the nature you will want. Mornings for your loved ones will be enriched by the view from windows and sounds of chirping birds. The green belt around Mulcaster makes the residents of Mews attached to the nature and provides a breathtaking atmosphere.

The “Mews”, as some call it, provides large rooms with easy accessibility for Assisted Living and Independent residents; who simply want to enjoy life with their friends and family. This is certainly the place that provides, caring, qualified staff, entertainment and activities; that take place in the large lounge area or cozy dining room, or the bright window surrounded lower level. Everyone at Mulcaster Mews loves to celebrate special occasions, anniversaries, and the holiday seasons, so our activities director has her hands full keeping up to this energetic crowd, or residents can also enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the library or upstairs lounges, or the gazebo and sitting area outside; where they can chat with their friends under the beautiful sun and blue sky, amidst the surroundings of the woods; with birds and squirrels and nature that is everywhere, on the large property.
The clean, bright facility also includes: a Dr.s office, library, fireplace, and 2 wide screen t.v’s, and plenty of room for exercise, favorite games, or entertainment. And let’s not forget the home-style cooked meals; masterfully created by our chef.
The staff at Mulcaster include: Administration, Activities Director, Director of Community relations, Head Nurse, RPN’s, PSW’s, housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance; many of whom have been at Mulcaster for several years. What is important, is the fact that they understand exactly what our residents need, to live in peace and comfort. Some of the other features at our home include: a hair salon, in-house Doctor, exercise and games room, and the gazebo area; where residents can visit with family, and friends out under the blue sky and colorful trees; that are part of a ravine that runs along the back and sides of the property.
